Windemere's 2011 Champions

Another great year is drawing to a close and I would like to present our champions for the year. It looks like the number will be eleven champions, along with another Grand Champion title and a Bronze title on our Grand Champion Windemere's Dusting of White At Pevyne. Here they are in the order they finished:

Chance achieved his grand championship on 8-19, shown exclusively by Marie Schoos. He is a rock-solid showman and should sire very well, either in this kennel or someone else's. The combination of the two colors should make for interesting litters.

Dam: WINDEMERE'S FROSTED CHABLIS, ROM

Desiree was campaigned and finished by my good friend Marie Schoos on 1-16. We have expected her to be a real asset to our breeding program and she has produced us a litter of four, sired by Ch. Windemere's Classical White.

Dam: WINDEMERE'S DANCING WITH THE STARS

Triskit is a very classy bitch, bred by Beryl and Stan Williams and co-owned with me. Beryl showed her all the way and finished her on 3-26 by going BOS over champion bitches. She is a real crowd thriller and has been bred to Ch. Windemere's This Style's For You.

Bentley is a little tank of a dog that looks to weigh 9# but goes a good 12#--just the way Pekingese should! Once he matured, he finished very quickly on 3-27 and his first litter of four white puppies look very promising.

Dam: WINDEMERE'S DON'T SQUEEZE THE CHARMIN

Winston was exclusively trained and shown by Laura Markham who put every point on him and finished him on 6-4. This is the second champion Laura has finished and she is becoming a very accomplished handler. Winston has an extraordinary head to go along with his other attributes and we are expecting his first litter shortly. Now co-owned by Laura, she expects to further his show career next year.

Dam: WINDEMERE DOES IT WITH STYLE

Gunner is a very out-going, compact white "of a different color"—a true son of Silver Streak with several different colors in his coat. He is truly the ultimate show dog and was finished very quickly with his last points coming on 8-14. His first litter is in the hopper.

Dam: WINDEMERE'S MINUTE MAID (Red)

Duchess is one of those ultra-glamorous bitches that you can't take your eyes off of! She has those wonderful eyes that you could drown in, jet-black pigment and an abundance of white coat. She is Desiree's litter sister and finished her championship on 8-19. We are waiting for her to come in season.

Sundance came right out of gate with his "here I am, put me up" attitude and Marie finished him on 8-21 at 13 months, twice going over a ranked Special for his wins. He is a super dog with a super pedigree and we are waiting for maturity before Marie brings him back out.

CH. PEVYNE'S CROWNED FROM ROYALTY (Jill)

CH. PEVYNE'S GRANDIOSE TRIBUTE TO SEBASTIEN (Jack)

These two littermates are co-bred and co-owned with Cody Koch in Reno, NV. Both were easy champions and we are waiting for Jill's season to breed her to Ch. Dusty. The picture is of Jill being shown by Megan Hof.

Dam: CH. PEVYNE'S LADY PRISCILA

Cosmo was sold to Eileen Wersh in Southern California as a puppy. The "Show bug" finally bit her and as a novice handler she conditioned, presented and put every point on him to finish his championship on November the 5th. Quite an accomplishment! This is a very nice white boy that is a credit to both his sire and dam.

Dam: TAIBEL SCARLET O'HARA

Marty came to me from Erna and Herb Holcombe and I expect him to be a real asset to my line. I have often wanted offspring from Ch. Marty who is the top winning American bred Pekingese of all time. This is the second one of my pekes that has been shown exclusively by Laura Markham whose grooming and handling skills are are making her a real asset in the ring.
